It's a special time of the year when Hari Raya Puasa, Deepavali and Chinese Lantern's Festival were all within a month.. and it spells c-e-l-e-b-r-a-t-i-o-n for all of us~!!
For this event, the MASSA exec team went through lots of training, practises and preparation.
Amidst our midterm period, each one of us was dancing to the tune of Jaiho! when we needed to de-stress ourselves. We'd love to have Nicole Scherzinger to teach us but we found ourselves a better teacher! Here's our teacher who taught us from home.. definitely recommended for all students who needs the break!
And the day came on October 17 2009 when the the whole MASSA exec team had to show off our hip hop moves... Here's what we've got, but be warned! We may not be Nicole Scherzinger, but some of us definitely have some good moves to show ;) (psssst check out our sex-ayyy dancers at the back!)
We didn't keep the fun and smooth moves to ourselves! We invited every single one who came to dance with us at least once! And we've all of them recorded down...!
No one was allowed to eat until they danced! The food was definitely worth dancing for...
Some of us execs went to one of our house at 8.30am on saturday to prepare food for everyone! That's how much MASSA execs love you guys!
No worries! We aren't complaining, 'cos it was a lot of fun learning and helping to make the food! We have superb chefs amongst us!
That's us preparing your pakoras and salad..
We made a variety of dishes for everyone which included 4 different types of chicken and nasi bryaaaani!
And!!! We didn't use any PrimaTaste or pre-mixes from back home.. all done by MASSA's pro chefs!
Everyone was missing food from back home so much! But wait, we didn't only attract people from Singapore or Malaysia, we had McGill students from other backgrounds and countries as well! They must have heard how MASSA was all about good food and company and performances (:
happiness. :D
that wasn't the end of the day yet! Nononono, MASSA had more in store. We've had Jaiho that represents Deepavali.. Food that represents Hari Raya.. What else were we missing?
Chinese Lantern festival!
We went to Montreal's Botanical Garden where they were displaying Giiii-normous pretty lanterns! It was a pretty chilly night, but definitely worth the trip! Let the pictures speak for themselves (:
And, that was the end of MASSA's DeepaRaya Lantern festival!
Look out for our movie event on November 14, 2009 - MASSA's movies night! (:
With much love,
MASSA execs.
